more, and more, and MORE!

OK, so here was the game I played with myself today!!  I would do a task; like vacuum, dust, or mop floors...then??  I could make a Bear paw block!!  So, here is where I am right now:  nine Bear paw blocks, lots of clean floors, mirrors and meals made.  TADA!!!

Hee!  The games children play, huh??
I don't know why this block looks so crooked...it is really not that bad.  I am making a bunch of these too, and using them in various quilts.  Using up nine patches that I have had for ages counts as a working on a UFO, right?

Have a great night, all!!!

Gorgeous! What great color combos. You're a way better housekeeper than I, I only did my laundry and put away the dishes before I sewed!

Are all your blocks going to have the stripe? I already told you how much I like the stripe in the blocks and hope you continue with it.

I "played" a similar game when I was still teaching. I'd set a timer while grading lengthy research papers and allowed myself to take a break. It prevented me from procrastinating.

Love the blocks, and yes, the nine-patches count as a UFO.

Gorgeous bear paw blocks. Love the colour combo in all of them but especially the bottom right one. I think I recognise a fabric in one of them. (maybe?) That's exactly the thing my therapist makes me do; pair unpleasant task with pleasant one and the day will be brighter. Kudos to you for accomplishing so much. Turning old blocks into new one is a great way to clear the UFO list. (Have to remember that one for myself.) ;^)

The churn dash block is a great way to use up 'spare' blocks. Great Bear Paw blocks, too. Wish my house was clean.

That was a good deal with yourself Julie! I did a similar deal with myself - 5 items out of the mountainous pile of ironing, then a bit of sewing. I got quite a bit of both done yesterday :-) 10 minutes of tidying the desk (which is chaotic) then 1/2 an hour of sewing. Note the difference in time scale, hee hee. Have I tidied. No. But then in my defence, I haven't sewn either....

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
